Recently Portfolio has been experiencing tremendous growth with the number of guests that we are seeing on a daily basis. We are so excited about this growth and it is our hope that it will continue. We have been working very hard to maintain excellent services and provide convenient appointment times for all of our guests.
Unfortunately, as a result of this growth, we have been experiencing a high volume of guests not showing up or canceling outside of our 24 hour cancellation policy. Not only does this hurt our business but it affects all of us directly as we are all paid on a commission basis. These no show or last minute cancellations could have also been an opportunity for another guest who has been waiting on a cancelation list to get in. It is often inconvenient to contact them on a last minute basis to fill these spots.
As a result of this, we will be implementing a cancellation and no show fee. When booking online, you will be required to add credit card information as part of the booking process. If you schedule in person and we do not have credit card information, we will add the fee to your next appointment with us. This fee will be 50% of the estimated cost of your service.
We understand that this fee may sound steep but all service industries, at this point, are implementing similar programs. This decision was made with much thought and consideration for our family of stylists and all of our wonderful guests.
