Be Sassy, Not Brassy! Reawaken Your Blonde with Blonde Revival

Blonde Revival Purple Toning Shampoo and Conditioner on a marble background with wheat grass and an orange

The summer season is right upon us and this means that it’s the blonde season, too! Keeping that blonde nice and bright is often a challenge between appointments - and there’s always a concern about brassiness.

Fret no further about the brassy and ensure the sassy of your locks with Aveda’s revolutionary purple shampoo and conditioner pair, Blonde Revival.

So why purple for blonde, anyway? It’s all about color science 101 - yellow and purple are opposites on the color wheel - and opposites attract. Purple neutralizes and tones yellow, and this is the science behind Blonde Revival. It has 8 times more violet pigment than Aveda’s Blue Malva shampoo and conditioner. This dynamic duo work to reawaken salon-fresh blonde hair, and revive softness through fruit power like açaí and passionfruit.

The shampoo works and behaves more like a toner. It’s a low-lather shampoo that you’ll leave on hair for 1-3 minutes, depending on how much you want to neutralize, before rinsing thoroughly. Follow with the conditioner, which you’ll also leave on for 1-3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. The conditioner resurfaces hair so that it’s soft and smooth, using naturally derived emollients, jojoba, sunflower, and macadamia nut.

The power is in the shampoo with this pair. While it doesn’t deposit color like a toner does, it behaves like one, and works to maximize toning benefits. In some cases, our stylists have used this in place of a toner at the bowl after blonding services - which gives them the opportunity to show guests how to use this at home between appointments.

As far as usage goes, you’ll only need to use Blonde Revival once or twice a week as part of your Aveda hair care routine - what you use daily to address your primary hair concerns. If your hair is dry, you’ll use this in rotation with Nutriplenish, and if your hair is damaged, you’ll use this in rotation with Botanical Repair.

The aroma is a deep, woody floral, composed of osmanthus (fragrant tea olive - a rich, fruity floral), certified organic orange, and cedar wood. Yes, it smells just as good as it sounds!

For you salt and pepper or silver types, don’t be shy - use of this shampoo and conditioner a couple of times a week will keep your silver hair shimmery and shiny, and help prevent that dull, yellow look.

Enjoy experimenting with this set of Wonder Twins - and enjoy being a sassy, not a brassy!
