Always Be Pedi Ready!

Summer is in full swing! During the hot summer months, we love to free our tootsies with a cute and stylish pair of sandals...which can be a lot less cute if our feet aren't in good shape...right?!?

A simple way to keep your feet and legs in tip-top shape during the summer - and all year long - is with a simple at-home routine using Aveda's uplifting Beautifying body care line. Treat your feet (and yourself), and you'll always be pedi ready.

BONUS: Beautifying's uplifting aroma. It's a delightful composition of certified organic rosemary, lavender, bergamot, and other pure flower and plant essences.

Here are the easy (and of course, uplifting) steps for your Beautifying DIY routine that you can do on a weekly basis:

1. Cleanse your lower legs and feet with Beautifying Creme Cleansing Oil. Its rich lather gently cleanses and softens skin, so it's great for legs and feet.

2. Next up - Scrub and exfoliate lower legs and feet (especially those heels and calloused areas) to reveal luminous skin with Beautifying Radiance Polish. Massage gently onto wet legs and feet and rinse. Salt crystals rich in minerals polish away surface cells to reveal fresh skin, while certified organic sunflower, safflower, and olive oils leave behind moisture. Note that this scrub is gentle and fine-grained, with a creamy texture, so it's gentle on skin.

3. Time to moisturize with Beautifying Body Moisturizer! Apply a generous amount to feet and massage in, using the excess for your lovely, newly exfoliated gams. This gem of a moisturizer is a quick pedi go-to favorite because it delivers all-day, non-greasy moisture through the power of certified organic shea butter, olive, and safflower oils.

4. Finish up by applying Beautifying Composition Oil to your feet and legs. Just a few drops of this magical elixir is the perfect finishing touch to soften heels and cuticles. It will leave your skin feeling soft and supple - not greasy.

That's it, you're done!

But just one more's a fun added finishing touch you can try to pump up the glow you just created:

Place a small amount of Inner Light Mineral Tinted Moisture in your palm and add in 2 to 3 drops of Beautifying Composition Oil. Mix together to blend, then dip into the mixture (lightly) with a Uruku Bronzing Brush and buff into lower legs using a circular motion. It's DIY "self-tanner" without all the chemicals or unpleasant scent.
